    Paul "JR" Allen
    Owner/Therapist

Hello, my name is Paul – but you can call me “JR”. I am a dedicated License Marriage Therapist in the state of CA, NM and NH with a passion for empowering individuals to overcome life's challenges and achieve holistic well-being. With a background in psychology and extensive clinical experience, I bring a unique perspective to my practice, blending cultural sensitivity with evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Recognizing the importance of representation in mental health care, I actively engage within my community, advocating for destigmatizing discussions around mental health within African American communities. Through my compassionate approach and commitment to fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, I endeavor to help my clients navigate through adversity, develop resilience, and embrace their authentic selves.

Driven by a desire to address the disparities in mental health access and outcomes among marginalized populations, I am deeply involved in initiatives aimed at promoting mental wellness and dismantling systemic barriers to care. This is one of the reasons why I created Hue of Mental Health Inc. Through my work thus far, I seek to challenge stereotypes and misconceptions surrounding mental health in the BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities, while fostering a sense of empowerment and self-awareness. With a focus on culturally competent care and a dedication to continuous learning and growth, I strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my clients, advocating for their mental health needs and facilitating their journey towards healing, spirituality and personal transformation.

I enjoy watching films and cinematic experiences, food festivals, all things anime and traveling the world.
